Intern life

Rich convicted me, when he said I should actually tell everyone about the awesome experience I've had as a CPAF intern. I love it here and I have sorta kept up my blog, but I've neglected to show pictures or let all my lovely theatre comrads know how great it is here. I wish you all could come and be interns. If you want to be a performing artist, and want to make a difference for Christ in this world, why not join the ministry that has made that their specific ministry? I am learning so much about acting, getting great opportunities to direct and perform every month. Also the other interns and staff are beautiful, fun loving people. Here's some pics of things we have done so far. We had a birthday party for one of our board members, Dr. Kraft, so I decided to make beards to help in the skit we were performing about his life. I think we look way too good in these --Amanda, Elena, and me the next picture is three of us dressed up for our staff Thanksgiving party, where we played a murder mystery dinner game. I was the token emotional actress, Amanda was the woman who married for money, and Jennifer was the vengeful artist. Yeah, we had fun. Just so you know, Patrick Kavanaugh was the killer. Here's a very bad picture of the Madrigal we hosted for the community in December. It was a great success, but my picture taking skills are, shall we say, lacking?

Rich already posted me with the brochure, so you know that's what I've been basically doing while I've been here, learning graphics and designing things. God is so amazing when you realize how He knows what you can do and puts you in places to discover things about yourself that you would never do on your own.

That's all for now. I miss you all.

peace and love,
Christi

A new MasterWorks requirement

Did you hear about the clock that runs away and hides when you hit the snooze button? Click here for an article. It's out of the budget for this year, but maybe we can work it in for '07...just teasing.

In other news: Sean & Cath Gaffney just entered the blogsphere at gaffneyjournal.blogspot.com.

I'm starting to hear from people who are returning or hoping to return. Tres cool!

Christi and her program

MasterWorks planning session

I just touched down in the South Bend, IN, airport, where the Studebaker National Museum has set up a display.

I'm en route to Winona Lake, where we'll be having our department head planning session, working performances and master classes for nine programs into five busy weeks (June 25-July 23).

That should have posted on Saturday. Now I'm back in NYC, and the planning session went very well from my perspective: it only took six hours.

The best news is that the brochures are out, and they look fabulous! They're designed by our own Christi Mahan, who has stayed on as a year-round intern after being part of the theatre program last year. She's been up to some VERY cool stuff. In fact she's been getting instrumentalists to act! Go Christi!

If you or someone you know is interested in theatre or any of the MasterWorks programs call 888.836.2723 to request a brochure.
