Since Melanie (2005 MWF alumn) wrote, I thought I might add a few words.

Good to hear where you are Melanie! I will definitely be praying for your school. I definitely understand that balancing act!

Kaelen, I am definitely praying for you and am so sorry to hear about the recurring problems with your back. I pray that they will fix the fainting spells completely! And also that there will be no more bad results from your fall.

At the end of MWF last year, I asked you all to pray for me, as I was taking a screenplay to a film festival. That didn't happen. (The college I was at wouldn't let me go and I really want to show this to someone in person.) Anyway, I have just gotten leave to go this year, and will be trying again. Please pray that the Lord's will will be done and that I will be directed to exactly the right people who should see it.

Just a little update for those who remember me. I received my bacholor of science in Speech Communication in May and am now teaching 3rd grade everything and 11th/12th grade French. I am loving my job (although teaching in exhausting!) and am already making plans for what I will be doing next year (which will involve taking some speech classes, Lord willing.:-)

It sounds like you all had so much fun this year! I truly wish I could have been there. We did Shakeseare at PCC this year too. Although we did Much Ado About Nothing. (I was part of the household) Anyway, I'm glad you guys had such a good time. I miss not seeing everyone from last year. I'm picking up tidbits, however, by reading all your messages! :-)

I must needs go. I have to plan tomorrow's math lesson. :-P

In Christ,
Tiffany

Re: [masterwits] fainting episodes resolved with Shakespearian grace

Kaelen,
Horribly sorry to hear about your fainting spells. "Asleep, my
love?" (Francis Flute playing Thisbe)

So glad to hear all is well. We'll continue to pray that it doesn't
return.

In Christ alone,
Rich

From Kaelen:
"Night and Silence! Who is here!?!" (-puck)

Hello everyone! It's incredible to type one email and have so many of my
favorite people read it. Technology is such a strange phenomena!

Thanks for your prayers! I've been causing quite a commotion down
here in
Mississippi, fainting during rehersals and classes, giving people
quite a
fright. ("How now, my love, why is your cheek so pale?")

Undetermined illnesses is can be a far cry from pleasant.

("Such tricks hath strong imagination,
That if it would but apprehend some joy,
It comprehends some bringer of that joy;
Or in the night, imagining some fear,
How easy is a bush supposed a bear!" -theseus)

However, now the doctors have finally determined why I was so prone to
passing out: the cervical vertebrae suffered trauma from a horse
accident I
was in, and their misalignment stopped the blood vessels from carrying
enough oxygen to the brain. With a chiropracter resetting my neck,
I'll be
just fine, and happily, no surgery is needed. ("this is the silliest
stuff
that ever I heard!" - hippolyta)

GOD IS SO GOOD! He watches over us so very faithfully each day. (Hence,
away! Now all is well. One aloof stand sentinel." -fairy in the
service of
titania)

"So, far be distant. And good(bye) sweet friend(s). Thy love ne'er alter
till they sweet life end!" (hermia)

Love,
Kaelen

p.s. hm. I find myself often quoting "A Midsummer Night's Dream"...
Shakespeare has a delicious way of creeping into everyday speech.

Fwd: [masterwits] prayer request

Lifting you up, Kaelen!

Begin forwarded message:

Hello, all you wonderful MasterWorks people!

I would like to request your prayers concerning our dear friend Kaelen.  She has been having some health problems here at school.  It has become enough of a problem that it is now affecting her college experience.  Please pray for her health and that the doctors would have wisdom in attending to her.

Thank you so much and blessings to you.

in Christ,

Staci

Amazing Grace reviewed in Variety

Ken Wales, who saw my performance of Beyond the Chariots last June, has produced a movie about William Wilberforce. It was just reviewed in Variety. Eddie Cockrell described it as, "Crisply told and sincerely thesped, 'Amazing Grace' is a workmanlike costumer that distills Blighty's long battle for the abolition of slavery and the personalities behind landmark antislavery legislation into a tidy story of conscience and perseverance." Bruno Kirby

Christian Gonzolez just wrote with the tragic news of Bruno Kirby's death. Please post your condolences below.

In Christ alone,
Rich

From Christian Gonzolez:
John Kirby's brother Bruno suddenly died within two weeks of recieving a diagnosis and his first treatment for lukemia. I spoke with John and Nathan yesterday, the Lord had been placing them on my heart daily for prayer and so I called to find out what was going on. It has been very hard on him and he needs prayer...
Please pass this on.
Christian

Bring a gift

That's what the invitation to MasterWorks alumna Sarah Keyes' Birthday Dessert Salon said, but Sarah insisted that we share our artistic gifts in lieu of anything purchased.

There were some great artistic offerings, and Sarah, pictured here, danced before the Lord to segue into worship. Finally we had some powerful enacted prayer. In one we prayed for students persuaded by professors to doubt. Sarah played a student reading Niesche and Joyce played doubt. Patricia Mauceri, another MasterWorks New Yorker, played God. She pushed doubt to the side and indicated that doubt was crushed. As the Holy Spirit I breathed words of life into her ear. Bobby, another MasterWorks alum played Jesus and as the Trinity we danced around the student. Eventually, as the Holy Spirit I gave the student a hug.

I looked up every post on my blog that describes the use of enacted prayer. I created a link to each of those posts here. Also I created a link on my main page, RichDrama.com so that you can get to it in two clicks.
