I just got off the phone with Chad Rasor (MWF '07). He told me in a very calm voice how he was working with a table saw when the board bucked, throwing his right hand into the blade. The Lord covered this by his Grace. Chad is left handed, so he can still take notes in class. Only three fingers were affected, and none were severed. The blade cut one nerve in both the ring and pointer fingers, and it cut both front nerves and the tendon in the middle finger. The saw went right where the joint was, so it went between the bones and none of them were broken. Pray for healing for Chad, and also that he can fulfill all of his writing assignments on time either through professors that accept hand-written papers or a typist or software that takes dictation. Also, he can no longer do the job for which he was injured, so pray he's accepted for work at the studio center, where he can use his mouth, not his hands.
