Butterfly Circus

I have a friend from Christians in Theatre Arts (CITA.org) who performed a minor role in Butterfly Circus, which just won $100,000 for first place at The Doorpost Film Project Competition. It's a 20 minute short film, and a profound look at hope despite unfortunate circumstances. One of the stars is Doug Jones (Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer), who spoke at a national CITA conference a few years back.

Paid Interns Needed ASAP

I saw this on a bulletin board at our apartment (http://RichDrama.com/MP) and wanted to let you all know:

Paid Interns Needed ASAP
For busy international entertainment agency
Contact 212714.9197
Ask for Steve or Indy

That's all I know.

Sometimes working on that side of things gives perspective.

While performing in Memphis I stayed with the Altinos, and ran into almost 20 MWF students! We called Patricia & she said the Lord provided funds for the first deadline for their mission trip to Scotland, but that they need to raise more. I posted her letter at http://RichDrama.com/MasterWits.

A magazine in Australia just requested info on MWF, so pray it draws some students from Down Under!

Thank you so much for praying for each other! It delights my heart, and I know it delights the Lord!

All the best to each of you!

In Christ alone,
Rich

Living abroad boosts creativity

The folks at my bride, Joyce's, alma mater, Northwestern University, have figured out that adapting to another culture while living abroad can help boost creativity. A couple of years ago I was mocked for saying that one day you could be a superstar in Qatar, but now you can see that a stint as an American actor in a nation that needs them could help you return with greater resources, at least on the creativity front: To Be More Creative, Try Living Abroad.

Compassion Australia

Some time back, while a theatre student at MasterWorks, Irene Kao sponsored a child through Compassion. When she returned home to Australia she went online to see if she could correspond electronically to save international postage. While she was there, she discovered that Compassion had an Australian branch...and that there was a job opening. She's been working for them for about three years now, and she arranged for me to perform for their national headquarters while I was there. As a bonus, I got to lead some enacted prayers for their team. Some of them were quite powerful.

If you don't already sponsor a child, you can do that right now by clicking here.
