Dave Layne is driving 13 hours to his father's wake
Please pray that Dave will stay alert and know when he needs to rest. Pray that he will have extra stamina when he arrives and that the natural stress of the situation would not be compounded by fatigue. Pray that he will bear witness to his Lord.

Dave Layne's father died this afternoon.

Please pray for God's comfort on Dave and his family.

Also pray for Dave as he drives down on Tuesday to arrange the funeral take of other details.

Lord, hide Dave and his family under the shadow of your Wing. Comforter comfort. Flow through this dear man of God as he represents You in this hour that his family is considering the brevity of life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Feel free to pray and wish the Laynes well in a comment at the bottom of this post at RichDrama.com/PrayerCalendar.

  • Dave, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Father God, please be with Dave and his family in this time of sadness and surround them with your arms of love and consolation. Walk with them through the planning, keep them safe as they travel. May your presence be even more tangible to them now. In Jesus' name, amen.

  • God, be with this grieving family who I do not know and will never know till we all meet in heaven. Comfort and uphold them. Give them insight into how they each need to feel and express their loss. Use this family time as a time for deep healing, if there unaddressed wounds, and closeness of heart and mind. Give them a sense of peace. Amen
